Spokane Health District Uses Active Ink Software for Managing Their Food Inspections
When the Spokane Regional Health District in Spokane, Washington approached us about assisting them in moving from a paper-based inspection process to a Tablet PC solution, we were excited about the opportunity. The requirements involved the following:
- Transitioning from paper to Tablet PCs.
- Creating an electronic version of their food inspection report.
- Building a database of food violations.
- Linking the food inspection report to their document management solution.
Besides the above technical requirements, the Tablet PC solution had to be easy to use and allow the health inspector to perform more food inspections in less time.
The results so far have been impressive. The amount of time required to perform a food inspection has been reduced by over 50% since switching to the Tablet PC solution.
